Two things: the ground, and the 93 days. The Round Tower case works the old medieval core around Strøget. This one works the harbour side and the palace quarter, which is a quieter and grander part of the city and a better walk on a busy Saturday. And a booking that stays valid for 93 days means you can buy it now and use it on whichever afternoon the weather ruins, which is a genuinely useful property in a city that gets 660 mm of rain a year.

The route, and what happened on it
Nyhavn is the part of the route with the most documented history and the least romance. It was dug between 1670 and 1673 under Christian V by Swedish prisoners of war taken in the Scanian War, so that grain ships could reach the market at Kongens Nytorv. For most of the twentieth century it was a working sailors’ quarter of pubs, brothels and tattoo parlours; commercial shipping ended in 1967 and the restaurants arrived in the 1980s. Hans Christian Andersen lived at three addresses on it — no. 20 from 1834 to 1838, no. 67 from 1848 to 1865, and no. 18 from 1871 to 1874 — and published his first fairy tales while at no. 20, in 1835. Skt Annæ Plads and the Odd Fellow’s Mansion put you in the eighteenth-century quarter around the palace, which is where the nineteenth-century city kept its money. The case you are solving is fiction; the streets it uses are not, and the contrast between the address and the crime is the point of setting it here.
How the 93 days change the booking
